A delay has come up in launching iPhone Gear. A friend is working for a client whose developers skipped town on him. Well, I shouldn't say skipped, but something happened to their commitment.
None the less, I can report that more iPhone accessories are now available through major distributors, which I plan to have on the iPhoneGear website. That means more and more iPhone users will be able to find what they want, just in time before the Christmas season starts to roll in. Surprisingly, it seems the most iphone accessory demand is for iPhone cases and iPhone car chargers. I would think other items, that can be used with the iPod would be big sellers, like headsets or headphones.
I think we will be adding some products to eBay as well to strum up some branding and traffic from eBay users. Which is a task but well worth it in the end.
One other thing iPhone users have been using (and developers making) are iPhone Apps or iPhone widgets (I prefer the latter). I am amazed at how many widgets have popped up. What does this mean for the Internet, iPhone users, and the rest of us? Another piece of technology that has fell into our laps that integrates other technologies into our daily life. Read that again if you didn't get it.
The iPhone is a piece of technology, that connects us to music, the Internet, others by phone, and I suspect one day it will be a platform to connect us by video (real time) as well. We are one step closer to having all of these communication based technologies integrated into our everyday life. Thanks to the Apple iPhone and Steve Jobs for being such a visionary.
