I'm excited to know that my blogging website now has a page rank of four. It only took about 1.5 years!!! With the page rank of four, I guess I can now start blogging for major blogging companies!

I really enjoy blogging. I've been writing for/journaling/blogging for somewhere around 14 years now. Writing has fundamentally changed my life, allow me to express myself privately and publicly. When you start writing to the online world you begin to think a little bit more about what you want to say and how you want to say it. Not to mention if your English is correct. Nobody wants to look like a dummy :(

I would imagine about two to three times a day I think of something that I want to blog about. But obviously I don't have enough time. Some may argue that what I write about, or want to write about, is not blog worthy. That may be true, but, at the same time, it's just expressing yourself - electronically.

One thing that I have found that really speeds up my entry time is using voice to text dictation. Some years ago I tried the first version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking, but it was a real joke. Of course the technology was brand-new. But now the technology is great. Matter of fact, everything that you're reading right now I've spoken into a microphone and it was dictated to text. The one good thing about this technology is the spelling is almost always correct. Now, if you read through all my blog post, you will see that I'm really not a very good speller. I do not always use Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I just started using it more over this past year.

Well I have tried for over a year now to not have advertisements on my blog. Most bloggers do have advertisements on their blog simply to support their hosting costs. Most of us do not make hardly any money off of blogging. And, why should we? If we are really blogging for the right reasons.

Then I discovered the above blogging companies. I found that there are many companies who are looking for bloggers to write about something they feel passionate about. When you sign up with those blogging companies you see which opportunities are available, you find that some of the opportunities are worth writing about; you have a passion to write about that subject.

Saying all that, now that I have a page rank of four, I may from time to time introduce a few blog posts that I get paid for. That's okay for me, as long as I'm still using my same writing style and being truthful.

Why is a page rank of four important? Although page rank really has no importance for a website, it is an indicator how Google looks at that website. And any time you create a back link that points to another website, you essentially are telling Google that you're giving a thumbs up to that website. Meaning, companies are willing to pay for a "thumbs up". Some of that depends on what kind of word to use in the link, it's so it could be a thumbs down. In the end, backlinks can help or hurt a company. In my case companies are willing to pay for me to write a positive / constructive post and create a backlink to their site. So by blogging for those blogging companies, I will get paid probably around four or five dollars per post.

Don't be surprised if you see a few different topics pop up non-Elvis related!
