For the past several weeks our family has made a habit of going outside at 9pm to catch some lightning bugs with our 3 year old. She keeps them in her little bug jar, in her room overnight, then releases them the next morning. When it comes time to release them the following cute words usually come out of her mouth: "Bye bye, fly to your home, to your mommy. See you later".

I remember being a young tyke myself and loving summer nights catching lightning bugs. Now I get to do it all over again! What I love most about this are the memories. Something so simple digs up and builds up lasting memories...
