Stela, almost 3

Words - Can't explain the love a child gives a parent. I always knew I wanted to be a dad growing up but I never knew the buckets of new emotions it would conjure up. Once child(ren) arrive in your world you soon find out this life isn't so much about you, as it is about them. The moment we realize that, our life changes.

Why I freelance with Drupal? You are looking at her. Here are more reasons:

  • Interact with my daughter and watch her grow (can't do that so well with a 9-5 job)
  • Put food on the table
  • Make some really butt kickin' sites
  • Deep satisfaction from exercising the business drive in me

When you think about it, Drupal has touched all of us (referring to the community) in a myriad of ways. It is hard to believe that one guy with one objective, persistence and curiosity could produce an opportunity like mine. Dries never planned it to happen this way... Neither did the contributors / community... Words can't express this dad's gratitude...

That is the beauty of Drupal - a software that changes lives when all it wants to do is make websites. Priceless

Why do you Drupal?

@Brady, when I wear my Drupal shirt, she gets excited and sings the Drupal song. That is very funny...

@bertboerland, my daughter is bilingual as well. She doesn't nail the song perfectly but it is hilarious to see her get excited jumping up and down singing it. She also asks a lot of the times “where are his arms and legs”, referring to Druplicon. That is a tough one to explain…

We have dug far too little into exploring our potential cartoon character and thus abusing children as a marketing carrier ship... }:]
