A reason to like Google...

I have finally found a reason to like Google. First, let me say that those who know me (or read my google related blog posts) know that I really don't like google's policies and "interests". I won't go into that now, but just so you know why I posted this, I really don't like Google.

That said, I have found a product of theirs that I really think is cool and useful. Google docs. I have been using it to collaborate "todo" lists with some colleagues. It has turned out to be a really handy tool that, (ouch ouch) I would recommend for others to use.

I know in college I worked in groups often for projects. This is a great tool for that type of environment.

One other thing, I must applaud google on, for once they don't have "ads" on their docs pages. When you publish or share the doc, you won't find ads nor when editing. Now, this may not be the case later but as of now it is.

Sorry Google, you still haven't won my heart just yet. Get rid of your strict policies, stop making money off of my computer/browsing behavior, stop making money off my content (without me forcing you too), and stop deciding which content and google services I can and can't see. If you do all of that, then we have a date. And possibly, just possibly, you might win my heart back. (read more)
